Nestled in the foothills of Adelaide and only 15 minutes from the centre of the city, the historic Penfolds Magill Estate is the spiritual home of Penfolds and the birthplace of Australia's most iconic wine, Grange.
Located in the heart of the Barossa Valley, 1.5 hours drive north of Adelaide, is Penfolds Barossa Valley Winery and Cellar Door.
Due to the Re-development of the Magill Estate site we are not currently able to offer our visitors the previously available heritage tour. Stay connected with Penfolds as we countdown towards the launch of the redeveloped Magill Estate property in early 2015.
Since 1844, Penfolds has played a pivotal role in the evolution of winemaking in Australia and across the world. Join one of the Penfolds team for one of the tours available at the Nuriootpa Cellar Door.
The Penfolds Magill Estate restaurant combines modern architectural style with the natural attributes of its historic Adelaide foothills location.
Here stunning views, contemporary food, and exemplary service are complemented by a cellar boasting the finest collection of wines dating back to the creation of the first (experimental) Grange in 1951, to complete one of Australia’s finest food and wine experiences.
