CLIMATE Cool.
LOCATION

Forreston/Mt Pleasant on the Northern End boundary including Kersbrook through to the Eastern hillsface of Magill, including Piccadilly Valley and down to Kuitpo/Macclesfield/Clarendon in the South.

SOILS

Varied across the region, shallow free draining Ironstone gravels overlaying sandstones and medium clays to quite deep, rich alluvial soils overlaying heavier clays in the lower lying, colder districts.

RAINFALL

Rainfall is variable but can reach 700mm plus.

IRRIGATION

Supplementary irrigation provided from dam (rainwater) & bores applied through drip lines under vine.

VITICULTURE

Most of the white varieties and Pinot Noir can be found in the cooler central part of the Adelaide Hills.  The full body red varieties are grown on the southern end near McLaren Vale and the Northern end near the Barossa Valley where it is warmer and more suitable for quality red wine production.

Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Shiraz & Cabernet Sauvignon.

This vineyard contributes fruit for St Henri Shiraz, Bin 707 Cabernet Sauvignon, Yattarna, Reserve Bin A Adelaide Hills Chardonnay, Cellar Reserve Chardonnay, Cellar Reserve Sauvignon Blanc, Cellar Reserve Merlot, Cellar Reserve Pinot Gris, Cellar Reserve Semillon and Bin 23 Adelaide Hills Pinot Noir.
