Spanning five vintages, each wine in the 2017 Collection is archetypical of Penfolds and a worthy addition to the Penfolds dynasty of wines. These wines deliver enjoyment today and stand the test of time.
Bright aromatics balancing savoury and sweet belie the plethora of black enveloping the palate from the composition of fruits to liquorice and cardamom. This is a formidable Grange of depth and brooding complexity that will provide life and longevity for decades to come.
Peak Drinking: 2020 - 2060
Pears, red apples and white figs embrace a foundation of supportive oak; while toasted oats, brandy snaps and racy acidity combine to deliver great length. The result is Yattarna’s blend of the very best cool-climate Chardonnay fruits for a truly complete wine.
Peak Drinking: Now - 2023
A balanced and expressive palate is the 707 signature. It’s all blueberries supported by a delicious dessert blend of rum‘n’raisin chocolate and freshly-baked panettone. Fine-grained tannins and collaborative oak ensure an imminently drinkable Cabernet now or in a decade or two.
Peak Drinking: 2018 - 2040
Aromatics of dates, figs and blue fruits are supported by cedary French oak, sweet Moroccan spices and roasted almonds. Our most textural red; its generous palate is well saturated with red and blue berried fruits, liquorice and pleasantly lingering fine tannins.
Peak Drinking: 2019 - 2035
One to decant, you’ll appreciate its bountiful aromatics beginning with redcurrants and cranberries before lime peel, fennel and olive and sweet Middle Eastern spices. The svelte palate balances the sweet and the savoury with assertive tannins… and lingers.
Peak Drinking: Now - 2044
This medium-bodied Shiraz boasts a fruity succulence laden with summer pudding, Black Forest cake, preserved plums and blackberries. True to label, the moreish acidity is fresh and inviting with quince and a dabble of cinnamon. Its tannins are fine and powdery with balanced oak.
Peak Drinking: 2019 - 2032
Meringue and preserved lemon notes emanate from the bottle with regional aromatics of white nectarines and almond nougat. A trace of finely ground white pepper adds an intriguing element to the nose. The citrus palate is led by grapefruit and an impressive length.
Peak Drinking: Now - 2024
A beautifully complex fragrant profile of sweet and rich coffee, mocha, chocolate, brioche and oak is complemented by savoury and subliminal notes. The fresh, lifted palate is a regional showcase of blackberries, raspberries and juniper berries, powdery tannins, lively acidity and French oak.

Instantly Penfolds from the moment the bottle is opened, this is an enticing and inviting taste continuum of assorted flavours and textures. A spoil of fruits heightened by a mouth-watering acidity and overt tannins, this 389 is at once balanced and complete.
Peak Drinking: Now - 2037
A definite Cabernet with an Asian demeanour, this vintage reveals coriander and betel-leaf aromatics before lime, grapefruit, green tea and Asian spices. But cassis and violet bring it back to its birthplace while kirsch and tomato puree underpin a complex palate with sleek tannins.
Peak Drinking: Now - 2028
Exotic aromatics are courted by an ascent of vanilla, marshmallow and coffee spices. The palate is vibrant, fresh and lively with long, elongated tannins that are sleek, slick and slender; while the black cherry flavours are generous and more-ish.
Peak Drinking: Now - 2032
A spicy aromatic indulgence with subtle oak but fruits are not overtly prominent. Sage and bay leaf coupled with oak-derived Indian spices and dark-berried fruits showcase the velvety palate before an abundance of grainy and slippery tannins. This is a substantial Coonawarra Shiraz.
Peak Drinking: Now - 2030
A varietal aromatic treat of charcuterie from the Mataro, a hint of Grenache florals and Shiraz-based cedar and spice. An unashamedly dry-red style wine, an assortment of fruits from dates, fresh figs and melon dominate the palate supported by prosciutto and slippery tannins.
Evocative aromas of Black Forest cake; Kir Royale, glazed cherry and cherry blossom are underpinned by French oak and savoury nuances. The balanced and elegant palate is fruity and varietal with silky tannins, ‘just-there’ oak, and ‘ever-so-pleasant’ acidity.

An effortless bouquet of guava, lychee and mango along with nougat and freshly-baked apple pie at once entices. And the generosity on the nose is certainly delivered on the palate. Its beguiling creamy texture is energised by fresh, chalky acidity with honeydew, tangelo and nuts.
A burst of summer is reveals in the bouquet of jasmine, jonquil, dandelion, mint and citrus. Undeniably Eden Valley, the fresh and citrusy palate supports a soft, balanced acidity with cucumber, lime and lemon curd plus mandarin and Turkish delight complexities.
