Announced at an awards dinner held in Sydney, the restaurant was named in ‘10th place’ in the prestigious Top 100 – which annually represents a higher order of excellence.
Magill’s Co-Head Chefs’ Scott Huggins and Emma McCaskill were also celebrated, receiving the sought-after award for ‘Best New Talent’. Recognised by the judges for the way in which they have seamlessly taken their international experience to create a true fine-dining destination, Scott and Emma’s cooking was heralded as ‘subtle, elegant and absolutely convincing.’
The Restaurant was awarded Best Restaurant Design for Australia and the Pacific at the 2014 Restaurant and Bar Design Awards, held in London. The accolade celebrates the contemporary styling approach of Melbourne-based designer, Pascale Gomes-McNabb who created a beautiful interior with a décor featuring bespoke fittings and furnishings. A significant achievement, the awards are highly coveted in the industry, as the world’s only event dedicated exclusively to the design of food and drink spaces.
