The changes that occur as you age your Penfolds wines will differ depending on the size of the bottle. A larger wine bottle size, such as a magnum, will usually extend the drinking window beyond that of a smaller sized bottle of the same wine.

Why purchase Penfolds wine in a magnum?
Large format and magnum wines mature less rapidly than their smaller counterparts due to the reduced ratio of air in the ullage space to the volume of wine. This lower air-to-wine ratio slows the oxidation process, allowing the wine to develop gradually and often enhancing its complexity and age-worthiness over time.
Are there any additional charges for magnum wine delivery?
There is no change in shipping charges for magnum wines. Standard shipping is free for all membership levels – Friends of Penfolds and Kalimna Club.
