Nose

Red fruits are underpinned by sweetpaprika, pimento and cinnamon bark with hints of toasty notes.

Palate
The first sip reveals dark cherry and strawberry with layers of gamey notes.
A texturally creamy wine with cherry stone acidity dancing a fine line across the palate.
Subtle oak cradles the fruit and keeps the wine fresh and bright.

Origin: 48% Adelaide Hills, 41% Tasmania, 11% Henty

Maturation: 8 months in French oak barriques (16% new) with the balance in seasoned barrels.

Wine Analysis: Alc/Vol: 13.5%, Acidity: 5.74 g/L, pH: 3.56

Variety: Pinot Noir.

Low winter rainfall throughout the Adelaide Hills resulted in reduced crop sizes but retained strong flavour development. Adelaide Hills vines were well placed to see off the summer heat spikes with few issues. 
In Henty, careful canopy management and targeted irrigation shielded the grapes during the hot spells. Tasmania experienced average rainfall over the growing season, with spring temperatures close to the long-term average, however summer was very warm. Dry conditions prevailed during harvest allowing for good flavour development and an orderly vintage.
