Located in the heart of the Barossa Valley, 1.5 hours drive north of Adelaide, is Penfolds’ Barossa Valley Winery and Cellar Door. Built in 1911 to expand the business home-base beyond Magill, this site became the focal point of Penfolds winemaking in the 1970s, as more fruit was sourced from the Barossa Valley and its surrounds. Today, it proudly boasts the largest premium red wine barrel hall in the Southern Hemisphere.
Visiting this winery is an exceptionally unique experience, as is the opportunity to taste our world-renowned Grange together with a range of premium wines, just a stone's throw from the cellars where Peter Gago and his wine making team work through the year to ferment and mature Penfolds’ world famous wines.

Guests are invited to the Winemaker’s Laboratory, to try blending their own wine from Grenache, Shiraz and Mourvedre, like Penfolds’ own Bin 138. The wine is then presented to take home in a personalised bottle.
